ITEN’S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PARTNERSHIP FOR THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AMONG THOSE WITH LEAST ACCESS TO THE GOSPEL
GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
ITEN enjoys rich partnerships with the global church in sensitive areas of the world
International Theological Education (ITEN) is about DEEP DISCIPLESHIP
False religion and mixing of Biblical truths with untruth (syncretism) have resulted in a “theological famine” that is ravaging our world. Indigenous believers often have little to no training in how to read scripture and understand theological truths. They are like the Ethiopian Eunuch who, when asked if he understood what he was reading, responded “How can I unless someone guides me?” Like Philip with the Ethiopian, ITEN steps into that gap to guide indigenous believers in their understanding of the Scripture as a unified story that leads to Jesus. It is a story with transformative power for heart, head and hands. That story is spreading like wildfire among many tribes and peoples of our world.
ITEN is about PARTNERING WITH A PURPOSE
American and Western missionaries simply can’t access all the unreached peoples of the world, but increasingly unreached peoples are within reach of indigenous followers of Jesus who already understand the need to reach out to their neighbors and plant new churches. Many of them are new believers from formerly unreached people groups.
ITEN goes where WE ARE INVITED
That allows us to work selectively in places where there is high potential to plant churches where Jesus is either unknown or misunderstood. We partner with local believers in every aspect of our training so that they can teach, train and send their own to go where we cannot.
We believe that the great commission is for the global church. Our call is to partner with the global church, the one made up of all tribes, tongues and nations, to fulfill its mandate of making disciples of all nations.
